Vortex Version 5.2
V5 composition
240 stable suspended butterflies

Version 5.2 keeps the stable suspension logic and refines the review experience you identified: the suspension never twitches, oscillates or creates fake movement. Every cable and yoke is rigidly attached to the rotating field. The sensation of flight comes from controlled wing poses, changing viewing angle and a slow lighting wave.

Why the butterflies read larger

The previous mix had only 30 large ornaments. V5 increases that to 54 and chooses those locations using both local 3D clearance and vortex depth. Large butterflies are concentrated where the field can visually support them without simply scaling every ornament until the composition collides.

The strings are now thin cylindrical geometry rather than one-pixel line primitives. They rotate smoothly with the entire assembly and never receive independent animation. In the architectural scene their opacity is intentionally very low; the Detail view increases it slightly so the suspension can still be inspected.

Flight effect

No cable motion. No wing flapping. Flight mode instead moves a very slow highlight wave through the fourteen fixed accent beams. As different faceted wings catch those beams, the sculpture appears alive while every physical suspension line remains stable.

SceneArchitectural installation VortexWarm ivory product cyclorama DetailHigh-detail L butterfly study

Vortex removes the room and places the complete fixture in a soft ivory cyclorama with a photographic horizon and controlled floor shadow. Detail removes the chandelier entirely and presents one dedicated large butterfly with separate wing roots, polished edge treatment, segmented body, thorax core, eyes, curved antennae, suspension eyelet, etched veins, facet boundaries and crystal accent facets.

V5.2 is still a visual and kinematic design study. Final bearing, carrier, drive, structural reactions, cable rating, dynamic clearance, fatigue, anchorage and certification require engineering validation.
